The upper rim is beautifully detailed with a thick, hand-applied 24-karat gold leaf band and a fine parallel accent line that catches light brilliantly. Flawless and holding complete factory model backstamps, this 60-year-old statement piece serves as an extraordinary standalone sculptural anchor or a functional vessel for tall, long-stemmed floral arrangements.

The base features the official green factory stamp displaying the LHS Lion crest reading: "Hutschenreuther Selb - Germany", alongside the hand-painted model metrics "9555 45". The vase features an authentic, heavy-gauge 24k liquid gold leaf band applied by hand using a fine sable brush around the upper flared perimeter before undergoing its final low-temperature furnace setting to fuse the metal into the glass glaze. Thrown from high-tempered German white porcelain sand, providing a perfectly smooth, uniform glaze finish that resists scratch wear and holds subtle structural translucency under direct light.

Original Intended Use: High-status residential entry hall vase, formal dining table centrepiece, or luxury mantlepiece ornament.
