Descoware was a Belgian company known for its enamelled cast iron cookware, popular in the mid-20th century. The pan is made of cast iron with an enamel coating, suitable for roasting, baking, and other oven-based cooking. The orange colour was originally called "Cherry Flame".
Stamped FE36, made in Belgium. Descoware and FE Belgium are intimately connected — FE stands for Fonderie Émaillerie, the Belgian foundry that manufactured the enamelled cast iron. Pots produced by them were often stamped "FE Belgium".
