Designed by ceramic pioneer Ulla Procopé, the heavy vitrified bodies feature bold, fluid floral brushstrokes on each cup exterior paired with thick accent bands running along the saucer rims, all covered in a high-gloss glaze that reflects ambient room lighting beautifully. Every cup is anchored by a sturdy, comfortable D-shaped integrated handle, demonstrating premier Scandinavian functionalism. 

Arabia Finland's "Anemone" series stands as a globally recognized benchmark of mid-century Scandinavian studio pottery, celebrating the integration of thick, robust stoneware with hand-applied artisanal detailing. The distinctive glaze application involved paint-decoration directly onto unglazed bisqueware before applying a protective clear overglaze, creating a permanent, scratch-proof layer that locks in the deep iron-and-cobalt blue pigmentation.

Each cup features the authentic hand-painted underglaze signature "ARABIA FINLAND" alongside distinct professional artist initials like "UP/TK" and "UP/RK" in deep indigo script, while the bases display rare, hand-smudged factory marks.
