Coloured Glass: Akro Amber Topaz Glass Teapot
Vintage Akro Agate Interior Panel teapot in topaz amber glass — made in the USA, circa 1940s–1951.
Akro Agate was a pioneering American glass company founded in Ohio in 1911, famous for its vibrant machine-made marbles and Depression-era pressed glass pieces. Production ceased in 1951, making all genuine Akro Agate pieces vintage by definition.
This topaz amber teapot is a beautiful and unusual find — equally lovely filled with custard at the Sunday lunch table as it is displayed as a collector's centrepiece.
