Vintage Italian Empoli bottle green "Genie Bottle" glass decanter with original flame stopper — made in Tuscany, Italy, 1960s–1970s.

A definitive mid-century modern statement piece — the iconic Empoli "Genie Bottle" decanter in a striking translucent teal-green glass, complete with its original tall pointed flame-style stopper fully intact. Features the sleek smooth cone silhouette sourced from the historic glassworks of Tuscany. Remarkably lightweight for its size — true to authentic period Italian craftsmanship. Highly collectible and increasingly rare to find with the original stopper.

Iconic Empoli "Genie Bottle" smooth cone silhouette in translucent teal-green glass.
Complete with original tall pointed flame-style stopper — increasingly rare to find intact.
Remarkably lightweight — fine, elegant glass consistent with authentic period Italian craftsmanship.
Catches and refracts natural light beautifully — ideal near a window or on a lit bar shelf.
Perfect for a retro bar setup, MCM display cabinet, or art glass collection.

The Empoli "Genie Bottle" is one of the most recognisable silhouettes in mid-century Italian export glass. Produced in the glassworks of Empoli, Tuscany from the 1950s through the 1970s, these decanters were exported worldwide and became a staple of retro bar carts and sideboards. The smooth cone shape — distinct from the ribbed optic styles also produced in Empoli — was designed to showcase the purity and colour of the glass itself. The tall pointed flame stopper is the most sought-after variant; many surviving examples have lost their stoppers over decades of use, making complete sets significantly more valuable.

Made in Empoli, Italy, 1960's-1970's.
