Vintage 1960s Drostdy Stonecraft Complete Espresso Coffee Set — 12 Pieces.

A stunning slice of South African ceramic history. This gorgeous mid-century modern espresso service was handmade by Grahamstown Pottery under their iconic "Drostdy Stonecraft" line, featuring an incredibly rich, high-gloss earthy brown and mossy caramel drip glaze finish.

The rustic, heavy-duty stoneware body looks spectacular on a retro kitchen shelf or styled for weekend hosting. This completely intact 12-piece set is a beautiful, ready-to-use hosting collection — and a highly collectible piece of South African ceramic heritage.

Drostdy Potteries (Grahamstown Pottery) was established in 1948 in Grahamstown (now Makhanda), South Africa, taking its name from the historic Drostdy building in the town. The pottery operated primarily until 1968, later continuing under Continental China until the mid-1980s. Their Stonecraft line — a functional, monochrome oven-to-table range — is distinguished by its heavy-duty stoneware body, rich drip glazes, and the iconic SABS-certified Stonecraft backstamp fired into the base of each piece.
