Maps: 1991 Signed "Xandra Fisher" Trinidad & Tobago Islands Pictorial Map Print

This vintage pictorial map print presents a stylized cartographic view of Trinidad & Tobago, rendered in a decorative island-map format characteristic of Caribbean coastal art from the 1990s. The artwork features hand-illustrated geographical details, maritime motifs, compass embellishments, and a sailing vessel set against an aged parchment-style background.

Signed by artist Xandra Fisher and dated 1991, the print combines geographic illustration with decorative nautical design, creating an attractive focal point for coastal, tropical, island-inspired, travel-themed, or study interiors. The warm aged tones and detailed island depiction create a timeless decorative piece that celebrates Caribbean geography and maritime heritage.

Originally produced during the 1990s Caribbean tourism and cruising era, pictorial maps such as this were often purchased as commemorative artworks, reflecting both the beauty of the islands and the romance of sea travel. Their decorative style continues to appeal to collectors of vintage travel memorabilia, cartographic art, and nautical décor.

The islands of Trinidad & Tobago are located at the southernmost edge of the Caribbean, just a few kilometres from the coast of South America. Their strategic position made them important waypoints for sailors, traders, and explorers travelling between the Caribbean and the mainland, contributing to a rich blend of cultural and maritime influences that remain evident today.
