Neville Burde (born 1950) is a South African studio potter trained at the Hammersmith School of Ceramics in London in 1970. As a second-generation South African studio potter, his work was shaped by the Anglo-Oriental pottery movement — which drew on Asian and British traditions championed by Bernard Leach and Shoji Hamada — and strongly influenced the country's ceramic art in the mid-20th century. Burde is recognised for his bold colours on grainy clay bodies and his mastery of reduction-fired stoneware, a technically demanding process that creates unique, unpredictable colour effects by limiting oxygen in the kiln during firing.
