Vintage set of 4 Dark Green Liqueur Glasses (Drakglas) from 1960s Sweden — a fascinating piece of Scandinavian glass design history attributed to two of Sweden's most celebrated glass artists.

The design is known as both the "Hugo" series by Hugo Gehlin for Gullaskruf glassworks, and the "Dragon" (Drakglas) series attributed to Bertil Vallien for Boda glassworks — the two designs being nearly identical across manufacturers. The rich dark green glass, elegant tapered form, and exceptional craftsmanship are hallmarks of mid-century Swedish glass artistry at its finest.

Hugo Gehlin (1889–1953) was a celebrated Swedish painter, graphic artist, and sculptor who worked at Gullaskruf glassworks from 1929 until his death in 1953. His work is represented in numerous Swedish museums and his glass designs are considered important contributions to Scandinavian modernism.

Bertil Vallien (born 1938) is one of Sweden's most internationally recognised glass artists, known for his work at Boda (later Kosta Boda). His Dragon series — featuring the same distinctive dark green tapered liqueur form — became one of the most iconic mid-century Swedish stemware designs, widely exported across Europe and the Commonwealth.
