Vintage studio pottery French Butter Bell in cobalt blue and forest green glaze — handmade stoneware, 1990s.

Keep your butter perfectly soft, fresh, and spreadable right on your kitchen counter with this beautiful hand-thrown studio pottery French Butter Bell (also known as a Butter Keeper or Crock). Completely handmade from premium stoneware clay with a rich mottled cobalt blue glaze over the main dome and saucer interior, beautifully contrasted by a textured forest green glaze on the outer rim and top handling node.

Vintage Condition

Excellent vintage condition. Entirely clean inside and out. No chips, structural cracks, or glaze issues. The unglazed base rim shows standard light shelf wear.

Visible Flaws: Minor age-related wear. Also note, this is studio pottery and the dome is not 100% circular, I think it add to its charm :-).
