Tableware: Portmeirion The Botanic Garden, Cistus Ladaniferus, Citrus Citron, Pitcher
Portmeirion Botanic Garden Cistus Ladaniferus & Citrus Citron Pitcher — First-Decade Production.
A magnificent example of early Portmeirion history. This pitcher features two botanical studies — the Spanish Gum Cistus and the Citrus Citron — in the early-era cursive nomenclature ("Spanish Gum Cistus" and "CITRUS Citron") that the factory permanently changed and shortened in 1985.
The base features the rare hand-designed first-version Idyllic Wreath factory backstamp used strictly between 1972 and 1982, making this a verified true first-decade production model crafted in England from heavy premium-grade earthenware.
Original Intended Use: Premium breakfast table milk pitcher, fresh fruit juice server, or gourmet warm custard jug.
