Heinrich & Co., founded by Franz Heinrich in 1896, was one of Germany's most prestigious porcelain manufacturers.

Based in Selb, Bavaria, the company helped establish the town as the European capital of porcelain alongside famous rivals like Rosenthal and Hutschenreuther. 
Did you Know?

Franz Heinrich started the business in his parents' home using a single muffle kiln and one assistant to paint whiteware. By 1901, the company began producing its own porcelain bodies. By the 1930s, it had grown to employ 500 people, eventually reaching 800 in the 1970s.

After World War II, Heinrich was the first porcelain producer in West Germany to successfully resume production.

In 1976, the company was integrated into the Villeroy & Boch group. While pieces continued to be marked with the Heinrich name for some time, production under the specific Heinrich brand eventually ceased around 2005.
