Figurines: Chinese Porcelain Sanxing Lucky Gods Set — Fu Lu Shou Figurines

A charming, auspicious 3-piece set of vintage hand-painted Chinese export porcelain figurines depicting the iconic Sanxing Gods of Fortune: Fu, Lu, and Shou.

Each miniature deity is individually hand-glazed with vibrant overglaze enamel details, showcasing a sky-blue robed Fu holding a scroll of fortune, an imperial red robed Lu carrying a sacred Ruyi sceptre, and a yellow-clad Shou grasping his signature staff and peach of immortality. These hollow-cast export pieces rest on unglazed turned bases featuring hand-incised studio markings. Representing a timeless trifecta of happiness, career success, and health, this highly collectable vintage set serves as a beautiful protective accent for the contemporary mantle, display shelf, or desk.

Cultural Symbolism: Known collectively as the Sanxing (Three Stars), these traditional deities embody the three core pillars of a fulfilled life in Chinese culture: Prosperity (Fu), Authority (Lu), and Longevity (Shou). Manufacture & Marks: Produced during the late 20th-century Chinese export revival era, with each hollow-cast piece bearing an authentic hand-incised "B" studio number stamp on the unglazed porcelain foot ring. Traditional Palette: The vibrant overglaze enamels utilize a classical Famille Rose colour palette balanced by rich hand-painted accents on the robes and official headdresses.

Original Intended Use: Auspicious family room or office entrance Feng Shui protective grouping. Alternate Suggested Use: Contemporary curio cabinet display statement or character styling accents for an open bookcase.

Vintage 3-piece Chinese porcelain Sanxing deity figurine set.
Complete character grouping: Fu (Prosperity), Lu (Status), and Shou (Longevity).
Detailed hand-painted polychrome overglaze enamel finishes.
Authentic hollow-cast porcelain with incised factory stamps on the bases.

In traditional Feng Shui placement, the Sanxing figures should always be displayed side-by-side in a specific order—Fu on the right, Lu in the middle, and Shou on the left—facing into the room from a high vantage point to radiate wealth, health, and harmony throughout the home.

1. The Left Side: Shou (The God of Longevity) - How to identify him: He is the figure on the far left dressed in yellow-ochre robes. Key features: He has a distinctly high, prominent forehead, a long white beard, and he is holding a tall wooden staff in his hand along with a pink peach blossom. 2. The Center: Lu (The God of Status and Authority) - How to identify him: He is the central figure dressed in rich red and cream imperial robes. Key features: He wears an ornate, gilded official's headdress and is holding a Ruyi scepter (a smooth, curved ceremonial object of power) across his chest. What he represents: He governs career success, promotions, academic achievements, and influence.
3. The Right Side: Fu (The God of Prosperity and Wealth) - How to identify him: He is the figure on the far right dressed in beautiful sky-blue and white robes. Key features: He has a long black beard and is holding a rolled-up red scroll representing good fortune and wealth. What he represents: He brings overall good luck, financial abundance, harmony, and joy to the family.

Each piece is researched with care and supported by comprehensive historical notes drawn from available sources, comparative analysis, and archival references. While I am not a certified appraiser or authentication specialist, my attributions reflect careful independent research and may be refined as new evidence emerges. These notes are offered to enrich understanding and appreciation of each item, rather than as formal guarantees of age, provenance, or authenticity.

Height 9cm-10cm, Base 4cm.

Good Vintage Condition — Character Wear present. Visible Flaws: No structural cracks, hairline fissures, or post-production restoration. The enamel colours and facial features remain bright. The God of Longevity (Shou) features a visible, unglazed fleabite chip measuring approximately 5mm wide directly along the outer edge of his grey base ring, exposing the underlying white porcelain biscuit body. Light, expected shelf-movement scuffing is present across all three unglazed foot rings, beautifully validating their vintage age.
