A beautiful piece of mid-century German porcelain heritage that brings a naturalistic, serene aesthetic to curated tableware collections.

This large oval serving platter features a smooth, eggshell-toned glazed porcelain ground decorated with a detailed transferware illustration of a freshwater fish amidst river reeds, accompanied by a realistic hovering dragonfly. The understated rim and deep oval well emphasize the fine quality of the Bavarian porcelain body. It is perfectly sized to serve as a dramatic main course fish presentation platter, or it can be styled flat on a rustic wooden dining table filled with whole fresh lemons and green herbs to catch the sunlight.

Produced by the highly regarded Porzellan-Manufaktur Händel, operating out of the Bavaria region in Germany. Features the clear, distinctive green shield factory backstamp on the reverse, complete with a five-point crown motif reading "Porzellan-Manufaktur Händel Bavaria".
