Botanical Art: Decorative Country Décor, Framed Irises

Farmhouse charm, vintage botanical prints featuring two coordinated floral studies by the artist Mid, depicting golden "Water Irises" and deep purple "Iris Garden" blooms. The artwork is printed with a faux-wood panel texture that provides a rustic, hand-painted look. Separately framed in matching mid-tone solid wood profiles with glass covers, these twin pieces are ready to hang together to create a balanced, nature-inspired focal point in a kitchen, hallway, or bedroom.

Original Intended Use: Coordinated Residential Wall Art Display. Alternate suggested use: Hang them vertically in a narrow hallway to maximize vertical space, display them side-by-side above a bed or living room sofa, or prop them up cleanly along a deep kitchen counter ledge.

  • Manufactured on a textured board simulating a rustic, weathered wood panelling background.
  • They are housed in independent mid-tone solid wood frames, completed with glass front mounts, brown paper backing covers, and individual hanging wires.
Did you Know?

These prints are a wonderful example of late-1990s country-cottage styling. If you look closely at the lower right corner scroll detail, you can see the artist's signature "Mid" alongside the date stamp "97," marking the exact year the artwork was produced. The background utilizes a printed faux-wood panelling effect beneath the ink, which was designed to offer the warm, cozy look of traditional painted garden plaques while remaining light, clean, and safely preserved behind glass frames.
Origin & Era

Made in South Africa, Circa 1997, making these pieces 29 years old.
Dimensions

Approximate Dimensions: Height 42cm, Length 34cm, Frame Width 2cm.
Vintage Condition

Structurally sound, stable, and completely intact for vintage home wall display. Visible Flaws: Both interior prints are clean and safely protected under glass with no discoloration. The solid wood frames show honest signs of handling, including small surface scuffs, faint scratches on the wood stain, and minor dings on the corner mitre joints from age.
