Glass Pitcher: Art Deco Edwardian Pitcher, Davidson Glass
Vintage Art Deco Glass Pitcher in the Davidson Jacobean Pattern — a fine example of Edwardian English style, sparkling brilliantly in the light and entirely flawless for its age.
Made by the British company Davidson of Gateshead from solid heavy pressed and moulded glass, this 1-litre pitcher sings with a clear bell-like ring when tapped — a hallmark of high-quality crystal composition. At approximately 80 years of age, it is a piece that can be loved and passed down for generations.
The Jacobean range was produced by Davidson from the 1930s–40s, based on a design originally created by Josef Inwald of Czechoslovakia in 1921, and manufactured for the wholesaler Clayton Mayers from 1932.
