An exceptional highly collectible example of vintage South African studio pottery from the renowned Linn Ware studio (Olifantsfontein, 1943–1955). This two-piece set features a classic rectangular trough planter paired with its matching removable multi-hole flower frog insert — designed to hold water and balance delicate floral arrangements, remaining both structurally functional and highly decorative.

Beautifully finished in Linn Ware's signature deep cobalt blue glaze. The rich mottled earthenware glaze features a stunning depth of colour, accented by characteristic soft brown detailing along the rims.

Linn Ware was established in 1943 at Olifantsfontein, Gauteng, by Charles Gotthard Linn — a German-trained ceramicist who brought European studio pottery traditions to South Africa.
