These flutes were produced in Tuscany, Italy — one of Europe's most celebrated regions for fine lead crystal production. The 24% lead crystal (Cristallo Al Piombo) designation indicates a high-quality glass composition that produces exceptional light refraction, superior clarity, and the distinctive resonant ring associated with fine crystal stemware.

Distributed under the JMP Marketing brand, the Capri range was a popular export line sold through department stores and gift boutiques across Europe and the Commonwealth during the 1980s. The line has since been discontinued, making complete sets increasingly difficult to find.
