Tableware: Arabia Finland Ruska Stoneware Pitcher
Vintage Arabia Finland "Ruska" (Autumn Colours) Stoneware Pitcher.
Designed by Ulla Procopé for Arabia Finland and produced in Helsinki between 1960 and 1999, Ruska is a legendary Scandinavian design classic. Because powdered iron was sprayed onto the matte glaze before firing, every single piece is unique — this one has a beautiful rich dark iron gradient around the rim, handle, and spout.
Made from heavy specialised ovenproof stoneware, this "S-model" is safe for hot liquids, baking, or microwave use and resilient against thermal shock. Highly functional as a milk or water jug, gravy pitcher, or styled as a rustic flower vase on a shelf.
Original Intended Use: Milk, water, or gravy pitcher for everyday Scandinavian table service.
Alternate Suggested Use: Rustic flower vase or statement shelf piece for a mid-century modern or Japandi-inspired interior.
