Collectable vintage miniature plate by the renowned British pottery Coalport. "Rope Splicing" Series No. 15 — features a detailed, classic nautical scene depicting a young child and an older sailor with a dog.

Complete with its original presentation box, a booklet detailing the history of Coalport, and an unused adhesive wall hanger. The underside features the Coalport blue crown backstamp with production series number 15.

Coalport is one of England's oldest and most prestigious bone china manufacturers, founded in Shropshire around 1795. Their miniature collector's plate series, produced from the 1970s onward, were designed specifically for display and gifting — each featuring hand-illustrated scenes from British maritime, rural, and social history. Coalport was acquired by the Wedgwood Group in 1967, and pieces from this era carry the distinctive blue crown backstamp that collectors use to authenticate and date them.
